His Excellency has been pleased to direct that the west side of the
Nepean River be named Camden County; the southern boundary of which is the Course
of the Nepean to the pass at Stone-quarry Creek, and from thence westward
until hereafter limited and defined: Its north boundary to be at the
confluence of the Hawkesbury, Nepean, and Grose;
and continued in a west line until hereafter limited and defined. And it being necessary that a police should be established for that
County, the Governor has appointed Walter Davidson Esq. of Belmont to be His
Majesty's Justice of the Peace for the said Camden County; and Thomas Harper
to be Chief constable who are to be respected and assisted in the discharge
of those duties. |
