To Leases of Crown Lands Beyond The Settled Districts. (From The Government
Gazette.) Murrumbidgee District. Colonial
Secretary's Office, Sydney, September 30 - His Excellency the Governor
directs it to be notified, for the information of all persons interested,
that in pursuance of her Majesty's Order in Council, of the 9th March, 1847,
the undermentioned persons have demanded leases of
the several runs of Crown Land, particularised in connexion with their respective names. Persons who object to any of these claims, either
wholly or in part, should lodge caveats at this office within two months from
the present date, specifying the lands to which their objections extend, and
the grounds on which their objections are based. It
is to be distinctly understood that the Government does not pledge itself to
the issue of a lease in any case until due inquiry has been made into the
validity of the claim, and whether or not it may be necessary to reserve any
portion of the land claimed, for any of the public purposes contemplated in

54. Green Edward B. Name of run, Boromagad
Estimated area, sixty nine-thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities,
ten thousand sheep. Bounded on the west by a line of six miles thirty chains
due north from the Wakool Creek, being a
prolongation of the western boundary line of Barham
run; on the north by a line of fourteen miles ten chains due east, on the
east by a line of seven miles due south to the Wakool
Creek at the north east point of Barham run; and on
the south, (fourteen miles twenty chains in a direct course from east to
west) by the said creek to the point of
commencement. 55.
Green E. B. Name of run, Barham. Estimated area,
eleven thousand five hundred acres. Estmated
grazing capabilities, one thousand five hundred cattle. Bounded on the north
(fourteen miles twenty chains in a direct course from west to east) by the Wakool Creek, on the east by a line of seven miles
fifteen chains south, five degrees east, thence by a line of two miles forty
chains south, forty fire degrees west to Thule Creek; thence in a southerly
direction of seven miles by the said creek to the
River Murray, on the south-west (fifteen miles twenty chains in a direct
course to the tree marked 96,) (miles from the Murrumbidgee) by the said
river; and on the west by a line nine miles fifty chains due north to the
point of commencement on the Wakool Creek. 56.
Guise William. Name of run, Cunningardroo or Cunningroo. Estimated area, fifty thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousand flve
hundred cattle, or nine thousand sheep. Bounded on the north side by the
southern bank of the Murrumbidgee River, (commencing at the north-east corner
of Joseph Peter's run,) and passing over Kiambla
Creek until it meets Tar Cutter Creek at its junction, being a distance of
about seven miles; on the east by Tar Cutter Creek parting it from Hillas' run to M'Leay's run; on
the south-east by the north-western boundary of M'Leay's
run, being a south-westerly line of about fourteen miles, and on the west by
a line running from thence northerly and parting Peters' run to the
commencing corner on the Murrumbidgee River. 57.
Guise William. Name of run, Bringenbrong. Estimated
area, sixty thousaud acres, Estimated grazing
capabilities, one thousand five hundred cattle, nine
thousand sheep. Bounded on the south-west side by the north-eastern side of
the Murray River, (commencing at the south-east corner of Harvey's run,) and
running along the bank of the same about ten miles to the south-west corner
of Grant and Trevillion's run; on the south-east by
the centre of a range dividing it from the same about ten miles; on the
north-east by the centre of a range of high mountains; and on the north-west
by the centre of a range being the boundary of Harvey's run to the river
Murray. 58.
Guise William. Name of run, Ellewar. Estimated
area, two hundred und twenty thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, two thousand cattle. It is situated on the southbank of the Murrumbidgee, about fifty miles above
the Junction of the Lechlan; bounded on the north
by the Murrumbidgee fourteen miles; east by a line drawn from a marked tree
on the river bank running south for twenty-five miles forming the boundary
with Chapman; west by a line running parallel with Chapman's boundary, and
forming the boundry with Tooth's ran; south by a line
running between the ends of these two lines. There is no back water
(permanent) and it only carries (indecipherable) from having occasional water
about eighteen miles back from the river. 65.
Garland James. Name of run, Toomah. Estimated area,
fifteen thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, seven thousand sheep.
The Toomah station is bounded from Mr. Read's
station of Manus by a line from a tree on the left bank of the Manus creek,
marked T, bearing easterly two miles along Dandy creek to the summit of a
high dividing range between the Tumborambah and
Manus creeks, thence along the top of this range, north two miles to a point
from which the line bears east half a mile to the junction of the Cowa or Waterfall creek with the Tumberumbah;
thence easterly one and a half miles by a ridge topping the falls into the Cowa creek, and bounding Mr. Campbell's station of Burra to the summit of the Marigul
mountains; thence by one mile of a spur of that mountain which leads south,
easterly and bounds Dr. Bell's station of Merlgul
till said spur falls into the Merigul Creek on its
right bank immediately above the Spring Creek's junction with the Merigul Creek; thence along the latter creek southerly
half a mile to a point at the extremity of a ridge on the left bank near a
rocky fall where a tree is marked T; thence along this ridge easterly one
mile separating the falls into the Merigul Creek
above those below said marked tree to the summit of a very high range which
leads about south-east by east two and a half miles and falls by a spur into
the Toomah or Gregnuk Biver, at a point where a tree is marked T; thence along
this river south-westerly four miles, bounding Thomas Richards' and Messrs.
Harvey's station to a point where a remarkable round hill meets the river on
its right bank to a tree marked TW; thence ascending this hill and leading
along the summit level of the forest range (which top the falls into the
Hume, and separate the falls into the Toomah above
and below last mentioned marked tree,) bounding Messrs Hay and Chalmer's station of Walaregong,
and bearing north-west four and a half miles to a point in the range, being
the summit of a conical hill at a tree marked T W; thence northerly along a
spur of said conical hill half a mile to the west bank of the Manus Creek at
a remarkable cliff where there is a box tree with a double stem growing out
of said cliff marked TW; and thence along the Manus Creek north-westerly to a
point on its left bank where a tree is marked T herein first mentioned. 60.
Hawdon Joseph. Name of run. Manus. Estimated area,
thirty thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousand cattle.
Bounded on the north-east by the Manus Creek, between Mr. Gale and Manus
station, and by the dividing Tumbarumba range,
between Mr. Campbell or his successors; bounded on the south by east by a
mountain know as Ike's mountain which runs to Crawley Creek; and bounded on
the south-west by Crawley Creek and a range dividing waters of the Boy's Gig
Creek from those of Doctor's Creek. 61.
Hawdon J. Name of run, Ingelluck.
Estimated area, twenty-five thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities,
eight hundred cattle. Bounded on the south by the River Hume, commencing at a
marked tree near Niton's hut, and running about a
mile and a half above Jingelluck hut, bounded on
the cast by the dividing range between Mr. Scott's station and the Horse
Creek, commencing at the aforesaid range, and running in a north-east
direction to Mr. Louis's station - this includes all waters falling into the
Horse Creek; bounded on the north by the waters falling into the aforesaid
Horse Creek near its source, and all waters falling into the aforesaid Sandy
Creek hole, after which it is bounded by a dividing range with Mr. Robinson,
running toward the Billybong range; bounded west by
the Billybong range to Ninton's
hut. 62.
Heaver Richard. Name of run, Rosebank, (Gilmore
Creek?) Estimated area, twelve thousand acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, six hundred and forty cattle, four
thousand sheep. Bounded on the north by George Shelly, Esq,
sheep station, and by a leading range running north and south for three and a
half miles on the east side, dividing my run from that of Charles and Henry Whitty, Esqrs., J P 's, and on
the west by a creek, called the Spring Creek, or better known as the Springs,
running from south east in a north westerly direction , and bounded on the
north eight miles up the creek by the station of John Macnamarra
and Timothy Mara on the north east end, and by ranges on the north west end,
which range runs to the brink of the creek, which range branches off from the
Spring Creek, and runs from the west in an easterly direction. 63
Hall Henry Name of run, Yaouk. Estimated area,
twenty thousand acres Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousaud
cattle. Five miles frontage on the Murrumbidgee River, and bounded by that
river on the west side, and extending back to the Mount Murray Range. 14
Hall Henry Name of run, Mullion. Estimated area, ten thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, three thousand sheep. Five miles to the west
of the Murrumbidgee River, ten miles to the south of Cavan,
bounded on the north by Mr Beckham's run; on the
south and cast by J. E. Turner, and on the west by
mountains. 65
Hill George. Name of run, Yanco. Estimated area, fifty-seven
thousand six hundred acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousand two
hundred cattle. Bounded on the north by the river Murrumbidgee, east by a
creek on the east side of the Salt Bush Plain, south by Yaraty,
about ten miles from the river , west by a north
line one and a half miles west of Guise's hut. 66,
Herbert William C. Name of run, Naas and Orarell
Estimated area, six thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabibilites,
seven thousand cattle. Bounded on part of the north by an imaginary line
along the ridge of a spur of Mount Tenant, dividing the lands now described
from the run called Boorooroomba, now occupied by Willium Davis; on the remaining part of the north by an
imaginary line along the ridge of another spur of Mount Tenant, being nearly
east to a small stream called Little River, dividing them from Stony Creek
sheep station in the occupation of James Wright; on the east by an imaginary
line running about south west from a bend in the Little River, called the
Corner-hole, to the ridge of a range about half a mile from the
dwelling-house at Naas , and thence in about the same direction across ranges
to a hut on the Gudgenby river, occupied by Thomas
Chippendale, dividing the lands now described from the run called Naas,
occupied by Thomas Chippendale, on the south by ranges dividing them from the
run called Gudgenby, now occupied by Edward Severne; on part of the west by ranges called Bimberri ranges, and on the remaining, part of the west
by ranges dividing the now described lands from Boorooroomba
run. 67.
Hervey W. and M. Name of run, Indi. Estimated area, sixteen thousand acres
Estimated graz- ing
capabilities eight hundred cattle. Indi is in the fork formed by the junction
of the two highest tributaries of the Hume river, flowing from south to
north, forming the boundary of Beggang, the run of
Mr. Collins, and from Towong, the run of Mr. Alleyne, these parties being in the Port Phillip
district, bounded east by the Swampy plain river, flowing nearly parallel to
the above, and forming the boundary from Khan Coban,
the run of Messrs. Grant and Trevelyan, and from Binglubarong,
the run of Mr Guys; bounded north by the junction
of these rivers; south without neighbours, the
mountains, about nine miles up either river, becoming quite precipitous to
the river side. 68
Hervey Wm. and M. Name of run Gri Grik. Estimated area, seventeen thousand acres; Estimated
grazing capabilities, one thousand cattle. Gri Grik, bounded north-east by Possum point creek, which
flows north from a branch of the Australian Alps, called the Munyang range, and forms the boundary for about four
miles from Thomas Richards, until it joins the Possum Point River, which
flows from the same range; bounded north by the Possum Point River for
three-quarters of a mile from Toomah, the run of
Mr. Garland, until it joins the Toomah River,
coming from the north-east, these rivers united from the Gri
Grik river, which flows south-west; bounded
north-west and west by the Gri Grik
River about two miles from Mr. Garland, for about five miles more to its
junction with the main branch of the Hume River, forming the boundary from Welaregang, the run of Messrs. Hay and Chalmers; bounded
south-west by the Hume River, from the runs of Mr. Shelley for about two
miles to a point of a high range, which terminates within four hundred yards
of the river; commencing at this point we follow the ridge of the range east
for about four miles, when it trends north- east for about five miles, until
we regain the creek forming the north-east boundary. This range is the
boundary on the east and south-east, from Bingumberong,
the run of Mr. Guy's. 69.
Hyland Messrs. Name of run, Quat Quata. Estimated area, ninety six thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, thirteen hundred cattle. Watered by the river
Murray, having a frontage of ten miles thereof, the river southing and
northing, with a boundary line running from east to west, and dividing the
run from that of Matthew Peace; lower down the river a bouudary
line running from east to west for fifteen miles, dividing the run from that
of Chapman, Esquire. 70.
Huon A. A. Name of run, Gerogery.
Estimated area, thirty-eight thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities,
four hundred cattle or six thousand sheep. Commencing from a mountain called
Table Top, by a line bearing south-west for a distance of six miles, the
boundary being a marked tree line between Gerogery
station and the station of Mr. Foote, from the termination of the six miles,
bounded by a small creek or water-course, tracing which up to Gerogery Hill for four miles, then by the Gerogery Hill and by a small dividing range between Messr's. Crichton's station and my own, to a gully from
the Table Top range, the line from the small dividing range and the gully
about east and wet, the eastern line being bounded by spurs from the Table
Top mountain, and bearing nearly north and south a distance of ten miles. 71.
Hay and Chalmers. Name of run, Welaregang.
Estimated area, seventeen thousand six hundred acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, one thousand three hundred cattle. Bounded on the south-west by
the Hume or Murray River, and commencing at a point being at the junction of
a remarkable deep creek about one hundred yards above an Island in the river,
from Alston and Shelly's runs, upwards to the junction of the Tooma or
Gregrek River, about seven miles south-east, thence from Hervey's run by the
said Tooma or Gregrek river to a point where a remarkable round hill meets the river, at a tree
marked (W. and T.) about two miles north-east; thence from Garland's run by a line in a right
direction to the top of the said hill, and running thence along the summit
level of the forest range, separating the waters which fall into the Hume and
the Tooma or Gregrek Rivers below the said point; on the latter river from
those that full into the Tourna or Gregrek River above that point, to a point
in the range, being the summit of a conical hill overhanging the Mannas Creek
at a tree marked (W.T.) and thence along a spur of the said conical hill to
the west bank of the Mannas Creek, at a point thereon, where a remarkable
cliff meets the creek near a box tree with double stem, marked W. T., growing
out of the said cliff, being about six miles in a general direction north
north-west; thence from Garlan's run also by the Mnnnas Creek to a point on
the same, being at the junction of a small creek, called the Kangaroo
Mountain Creek, at a marked gum-tree about one mile west north-west; thence
from Reid's run (formerly Murray's) by a line proceeding nearly north from
the said junction to a marked box-tree on this ridge between these two
creeks; thence along that ridge following the watershed between the said
Kangaroo Mountain Creek and the Mannus Creak to a marked gum-tree thereon;
thence in a strait direction, crossing a branch of the Sapling Yard Creek, to
a point close to a marked gum-tree where the Big Hill Road crosses the ridge
between the said branch creek and the Sapling Yard Creek; thence along the
said ridge following the watershed between these two last named creeks to the
crest of the range dividing the waters of the Mannas Creek from those of the
creek known as Urazie or Glenken, being about three miles in a general
direction west; and from Scott's run by the aforesaid deep creek (entering
the Mannas River) (indecipherable) to the ridge of
the hill from which It falls; and thence along the summit level of the range,
being the division of the waters which flow into the Hume above the said
point from those which fall into it below, to the point in the said range
aforesaid, being the termination of the boundary with Reid's run, at a marked
stringybark tree, being about three miles nearly north. 72.
Hay and Chalmers. Name of run, Wangaradyn, on the Niemer. Estimated area,
eighty-six thousand four hundred acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, three
thousand cattle. Bounded on the east from Mr. Boyd's run, &c., by a line
running in a straight direction from the junction of the Jinmaringle Creek
with the Niemer River to the Wakool River or Creek, being about seventeen
miles due south; on the south and south-west by the Wakool River or Creek,
from the point where the said line meets it to the junction of the Wyam Creek
therewith immediately above Mr. Curtis' present hut, dividing from Unett and
Pinkerton's run, and being about eighteen miles north-west; on the west mid
north-west from Curtis' run by a line running in a straight direction from
the last named junction to the extreme south-western elbow of the
Dyrbuggerainmong Creek to its junction with the Niemer,
about six miles north-east; on the north from Boyd's sheep run, by the Niemer River or Creek from the said junction to tho aforesaid junction of the Jinmaringle
Creek with the said Niemer River, about ten miles
east. 73.
Hill and Crichton. Name of run, Walla Walla
(Columba Creek ?) Estimated area, eighty square,
miles. Estimated grazing capabilities, fourteen hundred cattle. The run is
intersected by the Billybong Creek, which runs from
east to west about nine miles; it is bounded on the north by Doodle Swamp and
Numilbla Ranges; south the station of Jerigery, occupied respectively by Mr. Huon and Mr. Petrie; east Round Hill station, and on the
northern part of the line by Coomar Plain, part of
the run of Thomas Keachran; west Hogan and Simmons'
runs and the Penny Range. 74.
Hill and Crichton. Name of run, Round Hill (Columba Creek?) Estimated area,
eighty square miles. Estimated grazing capabilities, eight thousand sheep.
Intersected by the BillybongCreok which runs from
east to west eight or nine miles; on the south side of the creek the run is
bounded on the west by the Back Creek of Wulla
Walla and Walla Walla station, from thence a line
east one and a half miles to Table Top Range, forming a boundary with (Jerrogery) M. A. Huon, from
thence a line north-east along Table Top Range and Yambla
Ranges five miles, which divides it from Purtle and
Carnaby, from thence a line north-east two and a
half miles to the Billybong Creek, joining at two
and a half miles east of the Round Hill, forming the boundary with Mr. Harriott's station (Carrabubla);
it is bounded on the north side of the Billybong
Creek; on the west by Walla Walla; on the north by
a line commencing at the south-west corner of Coomar,
and running along the south side of it to the south-east corner, from thence
to the top of a low range south of Doodle Swamp, which range is two miles
north of a creek; called the Majors Creek part of the run now described; this
line is the boundary with Thomas Keachran, and runs
east four and a half miles from the said range a line east five miles till it
joins the run of Jerry Jerry, Mr,
Alfred Bell running parallel to the Major's Creek aforesaid one and a half
mile north of it - this line forms a boundary with John Morris, (Buckagina), from thence along the top of a range south
three miles, dividing from Jerry Jerry aforesaid,
from thence south-west three and a half miles boundary of Post and Kean, and
joining the run of Carrabubla, from thence
south-west four miles to the Billy Bong Creek two and a half miles east of
the Round Hill. 75.
Hore John, junior, Name of run, Wagra,
Estimated area, twenty-three thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities,
one thousand five hundred cattle. Bounded on the west corner on the bank of
the River Hume by three-railed fence, also adjoining Mr. Andrew Hore's run; bounded south by the River Hume running up to
a marked tree adjoining Mr. H. Jeffrey's run; north boundary running to a
spring on the top of a range, running west to a marked tree on the top of the
dividing range between Fowler's Swamp and Murrangandra;
south line across the Swamp Creek adjoining Mr. H Calder's run, and taking in
all the fall of ground on both sides of the creek, running to the dividing
range between the swamp and the river, then running east back to the west
corner on the bank of the river, distance from west corner to the marked tree
adjoining Mr. Jeffrey's run, eight miles; from the marked tree adjoining
Mr. Jeffrey's run to the Spring, five
miles; from the Spring to the marked tree on the Murrungandra
dividing range eight miles, from thence to the dividing range between the
swamp and the river about four miles, and thence to the west corner on the
bank of the river Hume about four miles, 76.
Hore John, junior. Name of run, Turramia.
Estimated area, sixty-four thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities,
one thousand two hundred cattle. Bounded on the north west corner by the
remains of an old hut adjoining Mr Hellis s run, running up the river east to a marked tree
adjoining Mr. Robert Brown's about nine miles, north line running back twelve
miles; west line running nine miles, south line back to the bank of the river
twelve miles. 77
Heriot Elliot Name of run, Carabobala
Estimated area, thirty five thousand two hundred acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, seven hundred cattle, four thousand
sheep. On the upper part of the run my boundary with Mr. Whitty
is the back creek for three miles in nearly a north western direction, and
opposite the mouth of that creek on the south side of the Billybong
a line about south-east for three miles; from the extremity of the latter a
line running about southwest to the mouth of the Four Mile Creek; from thence
to the Native Dog Creek a mile from its mouth, which it follows to its
junction with the mountain creek, the latter it follows up to the mouth of a
dry creek running from the Little Yambla range,
which it follows to its source, in all about ten miles, making my boundary
with Mr. Bardwell and Messrs. Purtel and Carmody, the Little Yambly
range running about north west five miles or thereabouts, are my boundary
with Messrs Purtel and Camody
and Mr. Crichton, and a line from the point of the Yambla
in a north east direction, crossing the Billybong
three miles from my hut; from thence it crosses the low ranges and runs along
about three miles from the creek till it reaches the line of the back creek
first mentioned, in all about ten miles, making my boundary with Air.

Hillas John, estate of (per Francis Watkins). Name
of run, Yab Tree. Estimated area, fifty thousand
acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousand one hundred cattle, four thousand sheep. Commencing on the Murrumbidgee river
at Jones's Flat, near the south west corner of a lagoon by a spur ridge to
the Tarcuttah Range, and bounded on the south-west
by that range to within these miles of Mr Charles
Macarthur's station, thence about north east to a tree on Yeven
Yeven Creek marked by Commission Bingham, and bounded by
Yeven Yeven Creek to its
junction with the Nacky Nacky,
thence by a spur ridge to Mount Adon and by the
source of the Black Springs to the Gilligro Range,
and bounded on the east by part of that range and a spur of the same till it
dips to the river at a sand ridge, east of Mandurlon
Flat. 79
Howe Thomas. Name of run, Gunnong Jug rawah. Estimated area, thirty two thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, six hundred and forty cattle, six thousand sheep. Bounded on the west by the
Murrumbidgee River eleven miles; on the north by tho
top of a ridge running from a piece of land, termed the Point, now in the
occupation of Messrs. William and Edward Howe, near Jugiong
to the table land on the Red Hills, directly above the Oak Creek, a distance
of four miles, the boundary between Mr C. O Brien
and myself; on the east by the Oak Creek to a place named the Rocks, from
thence by a spring creek to its source, and from thence by a marked line
nearly or due north and south to the Augenbilly
Creek, about a mile above John Murphy's hut, the boundary line between
Captain M'Donald Mr. C. O'Brien, and myself; on the
south by the Augenbilly Creek to the termination of
the Bald Hill, the boundary between Mr L. F. De Salis (a distance of five miles) and myself, beginning on
the east about a mile above Murphy's hut, and ending on the west about three
quarters of a mile below the crossing place on the Augenbilly
Creek, on the road for Denny's to and from Darby Lara and the Tumut. 80
Holmes Benjamin. Name of run, Tattaila. Estimated
area, twenty-four thousand six hundred and forty acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, four thousand sheep. Five and a half miles frontage to the
Murray River; bounded on the east by a marked tree about one third of a mile
from my sheep station hut, known as Jingeena,and
adjoining Mr. Lewis's run, by a line drawn north from that tree seven miles
out; on the west by a marked tree three miles from my home- stead, known as Tattaila, and adjoining Mr. Clarke's run, by a line north
from thatt tree seven miles out at the termination
of which by a line east. 81
Howe Edward and William, junior. Name of run, Long Point. Estimated area,
three thousand five hundred acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, one
hundred and fifty, cattle. The station of Edward and
William Howe, junior, in the district of Murrumbidgee, known as the Long
Point, is on three sides surrounded by the River Murrumbidgee, and on the
south by a fence which runs across a narrow neck of land. The station of C.
O'Brien, Esq., is situated above the Long Puint,
and that of Thomas Howe, Esq, below it. 82
Hogg Edward James. Name of run, Thule. Estimated area, forty thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, eight thousand sheep The boundary is Thorleo Creek, up to a tree marked with a barbed arrow on
the said creek, two miles below L J. Hogg's head
station on the west, from thence a north-east line into the plains until met
by the western boundary lines of Mr. J Hogg's station, called Cobran, on the Wacool; and to
the south by the runs of S. Clarke and E. J. Hogg. 83.
Hogg E. J. Name of run, Cobran. Estimated area,
fifty thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, eight thousand sheep.
Bounded on the north by the Yallacool, and extends
seven miles into the plains south; on the west by the run of E. Green, on the
east by the run of Messrs. Phillip and Grave's. 84.
Hogg E. J. Name of run, Tantonan. Estimated area,

Hobler George. Name of run, Nap Nap.
Estimated area, one hundred and thirty thousand, acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, twelve thousand sheep. Bounded on the
north-west by the river Murrumbidgee; on the south by the Wagorah
Creek from its junction with the river to a marked tree on the creek, half a
mile above Mr. Wentworth's sheep station hut on that creek, thence by a south
line dividing Nap Nap from the run occupied by Mr.
Wentworth, called Taria; this line has been settled
by a written agreement filed in the office of the Crown Land Commissioner; on
the south-east by crown land, by a line running parallel with the river,
distant ten miles until it meets the dividing line between Nap Nap and Mr. M'Kinlay's run,
thence to the river at a point opposite Mr Darchy's house on the opposite bank of the river. 86.
Howell William. Name of run, Bingagong. Estimated
area, thirty thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, six thousand
sheep. This run is on the Yanko creek, a
watercourse from the Murrumbidgee River to the Billibong
Creek, and which is frequently quite dry, making this run only available for
sheep a part of the year (except extrordinary
seasons); the run extends in a southerly direction towards Mr. Atkin's station, between it and which there is a larger
quantity of unavailable country for want of water, as well as to the
westward, also extending to the north to my other licenced
station called Yarrabee, and to the east across
extensive plains, to a thick scrub. 87.
HOWELL William. Name of run, Yarrabee. Estimated
area, (indecipherable) acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, six hundred
cattle, two thousand sheep. This run is on the Yanko creek, which is a watercourse from the Murrumbidgee
river to the Billibong creek, and is commonly very
scarce of water. The run extends in a southerly direction to join my other
licensed station called Bingagong; to the north it
extends to a boundary line agreed upon between myself and Mr. Devlin, the
late proprietor of the Yanco run on the river's
front, now occupied by a Mr. Hill; to the east-ward and westward it is
bounded by extensive plains, without water, being therefore unavailable for
stock except as far as they can get out and return to the station for the
same. 88.
Howell William. Name of run. Goree on Yanko Creek. Estimated area, twenty-five, thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabities,
four thousand sheep. This run is situated on the Yanko
creek, which is a watercourse running from the Murrumbidgee river to the Billybong creek, and is very badly watered, so much so
that this run is usually only available in the winter months for stock, it
extends backwards in a southerly direction towards the Billybong,
but has no water; bounded on the west by Mr. Atkin's
run; on the east by my own licensed station called Bingagong;
and on the north side by extensive dry plains. 89,
Jenkins J. and F., per John Jenkins, Name of runs, Buckenbong
and Gillingbah. Estimated area, eighty-three
thousand two hundred acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousand four
hundred cattle. The runs of Buckenbong and Gillingbah are bounded on the south by the Murrumbidgee
River thirteen miles; on the east by Berrewarrenna,
the run of R. P. Jenkins, ten miles; on the west by Yanco,
the ran of James Devlin ten miles; on the soath by unlocated Government
land, the runs consist of barren scrubs and thinly grassed plains, in
proportion about one-third plains; the runs are intersected by a low scrubby
range extending from the Murrumbidgee in a south direction, the water
exclusive of the Murrumbidgee is the Sandy Creek, a back water from the
Murrumbidgee, dry except when overflowed annually by the river, it enters the
runs on the east line about seven miles from the river, running aboat one mile, losing itself in a swamp dry in summer. 99.
Jeffreys Henry. Name of run, Dora Dora. Estimated area, twenty thousand acres. Estimated
grazing capabilities, one thousand three hundred cattle. This run is upon the
northern bank of the Hume, about twenty-five miles above the junction of the Miteah Miteah with the Hume; it
is bounded on the north by the range dividing the River Valley from the Billibong country and Mr. Mackenzie's station; on the
east by a fence extending from the river to the ranges and Abraham Miller's
run; on the south by the river across which is Mr. Walker's station; on the
west by a stony creek falling at right angles into the river, Mr. Hore's station adjoins on that side. 91.
Jenkins Robert Pitt. Name of run, Bangus. Estimated
area, twenty-five thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, eight
thousand sheep. Commencing from the junction of the Adalong
Creek and Murrumbidgee River, thence by frontage to the Murrumbidgee
extending to a range on the western side of the Oak Creek about one mile from
that creek, thence by a line extending along the summit of the range and
terminating at the Little Plain gullies, thence by a line bearing easterly to
Johnson's hut, on the Adalong Creek, and along this
creek to the junction with the Murrumbidgee River, as before mentioned. 92.
Jenkins B. P. Name of run, Brewarrena. Estimated
area, forty-fire thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, eight
thousand sheep. Bounded on the east by Rudd's run, commencing on the summit
of the sandy ridges on the Murrumbidgee River, by a line south to the Old Man
Creek about two and a half miles, and by the Old Man Creek to the north
corner of Henry Osborne's fence; on the south by a south-west line to
Jackson's waterhole (including that waterhole) two and a half miles, thence
skirting the brush beyond the Sandy Creek, to a hummock of sand hills west of
the spot where Jackson has squatted six miles or thereabouts, being an
irregular line of about eight miles; on the west by a line north to the east
side of John Jenkins's fence six miles or thereabouts; on the north by the
Murrumbidgee River to the sandy ridges aforesaid, being an irregular line of
about eight miles. 93.
Keighran
John. Name of run, Brundell. Estimated area,
thirteen thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, six hundred and
forty cattle, or four thousand sheep. Bounded on the north-east by Billyorwarra Mountain (Messrs. Osborne and Delsalis are adjoining occupants); on the north-west by
Tumut River; on the south-west by Killimacot Creek
leading southerly to Wyanga Plain - occupants on
the south side of the creek, the estate of the late William Shelly, Esq.;
bounded on the south-east by the Wiangel Range. 94.
Kennedy James. Name of run, Mary's Creek (Billy Bong). Estimated area, eighty
thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, eight thousand sheep.
Situated on the Billy Bong Creek and occupying both sides. Boundaries as
follows:- on the west by a line running due north from a point on the
Billabong Creek known as M'Kay's Gunyer to a sand hill on the Yanco
Plain, continuing for five miles; and on the north by a line from the above
sand hill bearing eastward for twelve miles or thereabouts; on the east by a
line commencing at the north-east corner and bearing south to a point known
as the Round waterhole on the Billybong creek, and
continuing from the above point southward for five miles to the south-east
corner, and the south by a line commencing at the south east corner, and
running west- ward twelve miles, or thereabouts, to a clump of box timber,
and from the above clump by a line bearing north to M'Key's
Gunyer. 95.
Kiley William. Name of run, Spring's creek.
Estimated area, sixteen thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, six
hundred and forty cattle. North by Messrs. De Salis
and Smythe's marked tree line; east by Messrs. M'Donald's marked line and the Shaking bog creek; south
by a marked line separating the run of the late W. Shelly; west by Bungle
creek and Tom Percival's marked line. 96.
Lewis H. I. and Charles Throsby. Name of run Moira. Estimated area, one
hundred thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, three thousand
cattle, and four thousand sheep. Bounded upon the east by the "Gulpa" creek and the river Murray; on the south by
the river Murray to a marked tree (about three miles below the confluence of
the Campaspie creek) at the boundary between the
Moira station and that of Mr. B. Holmes; upon the west by a true north line
from the said marked tree extending about fourteen miles; upon the north by a
line between the Moira station and that of Peter Stucky,
Esq., junior, commencing at a marked boundary tree situated at a place called
the Red Bank, upon the Gulpa Creek, extending due
west about twelve miles, to its intersection of the line forming the western
boundary. 97.
Lova and Musgrave. Name of run, Munderoo.
Estimated area, sixteen thousand acres. Estimated crazing capabilities, two
thousand sheep and three hundred cattle. Bounded on the east by Mr. Reid's
station late Hordern; on the south by Mr. Scott's
station Glenkin; on the north by Mr. James
Robinson's station Copabella; and on the west by
Mr. Reid's old head station; this part of the country is called the Mamins, distant from Gundagai about seventy miles, and
near the head of the Hume River, and distant from the Hume fourteen miles. 98.
Lester William. Name of run, Morebringer. Estimated
area, forty-five thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousand
two hundred cattle or eight thousand sheep. For fivee
miles bounded by the river Hume, the general course of the river being from
east to west, from the westernmost point of front boundary to a line bearing
north from the river for a distance of fourteen miles crossing a plain called
the Howlong plains through a dry box forest, then a
line from west to east for a distance of eight miles, bounded by Messrs.
Buckland, Huon, and Foote's sheep stations; the
northern line bounded by Messrs. Mitchell and Dight's
stations, the stations being separated by a dividing range which approaches
the river to within about seven miles, from the ranges a ploughed furrow for
about four miles is the boundary line. 99.
Lewis Charles. Name of run, Weejasper. Estimated
area, four thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, five hundred
cattle. One mass of broken mountains, consisting chiefly of clay, slate, and
limestone rocks, without any alluvial soil, bounded on the east by the Yabring range of mountains; on the west by Mr. Hamilton's
run; on the north by Mr. Mangan's run; and on the
south by impervious mountains. 100.
Ledger Jon. Name of run, Stammer's Forest. Estimated area, twenty-two
thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, six hundred and forty cattle.
Bounded on the north by Mr. Hall's run; on the south by a creek called the Euriara Creek; on the east by a range called the Mallyon range; and on the west by Mr. Beckham's run. 101.
Leahy and Rail, per B. Rail. Name of run, Killimicat.
Estimated area, one thousand two hundred and eighty acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, one hundred and thirty-one cattle. Bounded by the Brungle station on the north side. Nimbo
station on the south side, the Tumut River on the west, and the main road on
the east side. 102.
Lintott Edward. Name of ran, Kialat.
Estimated area, twenty-eight thousand one hundred und
sixty acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, nine hundred cattle. The eastern
boundary on the Edwards, commencing at a marked tree on the Edwards, and
running south to the Earin Creek, and on the Wacool, commencing at the junction of the Neimer Creek with the Wacool,
running north to the Earin Creek; the Edwards River
as a north boundary, and the Wacool as a south
boundary, the junction of the Edwards and Wacool as
a western boundary. 103.
M'Tier and Co. Name of run, Mooruna.
Estimated area, thirty-eight thousand four hundred acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, six hundred cattle, or four thousand sheep. Commencing at a
marked tree on the south bank of the river Logan, three miles below its
junction with the river Edward, and bounded on the south by a line west from
the said tree to the north bank of the river Murray: on the west by the said
river Murray to its junction with the Logan River, on the north and east by
the Logan River to the starting point. This run lays
between the Westmeath on the Poon Boon run and the
junction of the Logan and the Murray Rivers. 104.
Mitchell Thomas. Name of run, Mungabbaruna.
Estimated area, thirty-five thousand eight hundred and forty acres. Estimated
grazing capabilites, one thousand two hundred and
eighty cattle, eight thousand theep.
Bounded on the east by a range, general bearing being north and south,
distance six miles and three quarters, terminating at the Port Phillip Road,
adjacent to the run of the late Matthew Smith and Mr. Henry Calder; this line
has been de fined by Mr. Commissioner Bingham : bounded on the north by a line running
west by north, distance five miles, adjacent to the run of Mr. T. V. Foote;
this line is disputed; on the north by a line running west by south five
miles, adjacent to the run of Mr. William Lester; bounded on the west by a
leading range, running north and south, distance six miles and three
quarters, adjacent to the run of Mr. John Dight; on
the south by the Hume River, running east and west, distance seven miles and
a half. 105.
Mitchell Thomas. Name of run, Little Billybong.
Estimated area, seventeen thousand two hundred and eighty acres. Estimated
grazing capabilities, six hundred and forty cattle, four
thousand sheep. Bounded
on the north by a line north by east three' miles and a half, commencing from
Ford's public house, and on the westside of Ford's
by a line running half a mile west, adjacent to the run of Mr. William
Walker; on the east by a line bearing south by west six miles; commencing at
the termination of the north boundary line, adjacent to Mr. Campbell's run;
on the south by the Four Mile Creek, bearing about east and west five miles, adjacant to the ran of the
Reverend J. J. Therry, Billybong,
and to the run of Messrs. Whittle; on the west by a line bearing north and
south five and a half miles, adjacent to the run of Mr
M'Leay. 106.
Merrien John. Name of ran, Buckhargringle.
Estimated area, thirty-eight thousand acres. Esti
mated grazing capapbilities, six hundred cattle, four thousand sheep. The station of Buckhargringle
is bounded on the north by a granite range, which divides it from the station
of Owen and Co, and called Mingrobbala; on the east
by a small creek that runs parallel with the fence of the late A. Crisp's
station, on the south by Dr Hill's station, which it joins, and called Round
Hill; and on the west by Dooale Swamp, the opposite
side of which is not located at the present time. 107.
Morrice John. Name of run, Mullingandra.
Estimated area, twenty-fire thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, six thousand sheep. The station of Mullingandra is bounded on the north by a stringybark range, the top of which is the dividing line
between it and the station of Messrs M'Kenzie and Wylde, and known as Woommaganinia;
on the east by a large dividing range which separates Mr. Hoare's run, on the
south partly by the Deep Creek, which separates it from Mr. Calder's station,
to the eastern side of the Sydney Road leading to Port Phillip, from thence
by the east side of that road until opposite the junction of the range with
the Mullingandra Creek, and known as Ebden's old hut; and on the west by a large dividing box
range from that creek, which separates It from Mr Foote'a run, which continues until its junction with the stringybark range on the north. 108
Mate Thomas H. Names of runs, Umuther and Toonga. Estimated area, one hundred and twenty thousand
acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, eight hundred cattle, eleven thousand sheep. Bounded on the east by the dividing
range between Hillas's and Tacutta
Creek, about seventeen miles; on the north and north-west by a line from the
aforesaid range, crossing the Tacutta Creek one
mile and a half below, or north of Gabbeld's Inn,
about twelve miles to the dividing range between Kyamba
and Kaadgerie Creeks, westward by that range about
seven miles, then south west to the old Port Phillip Road, and by that road
about five miles to a line bearing east about thirty degrees south (crossing
the Hoombango Creek about two miles from its
junction with the Tacutta Swamp) to a remarkable
rocky point of range dividing Hoombango and Obum Creeks, then by a line bearing about east to the Obam Creek, and east by that creek about three miles, or
less, then by a line bearing east to first named dividing range; the
aforesaid lands are bounded cast by Messrs. Hillas
and Galvin; north and north-west by Messrs. A and G. M'Leay;
south and west by Messrs W. Walker and Co. 109.
M'Arthur Charles Name of run, Ellersbie
(late Nackee Nackee ) Estimated area, thirty two thousand acres. Estimated
grazing capabilities, thirty cattle, eight thousand sheep The run of Ellersbie is on the Nackee Nackee and Yeven Yeven creeks, which run nearly north and south through
it, from the Bald Hill or Nackee Nackee Hill the boundary runs nearly north down a spur, haiing the Nackee Nackee Creek on the left and the Back Spring Creek on the
right, crossing the latter about a quarter of a mile from its junction with
the former, it again ascends the hills and following the rang tili it arrives at the north east corner, on the range
above Denn and Sawyer's; thence it turns west and
follows a marked tree line right across the two creeks on to the Obern Range; it then turns south, and keeping the Obern Range, runs till opposite the gap, below Mr.
Griffith's station; it then turns east and runs across the Yeven Yeven at the gap
ascending the hill; and from that hill it follows a marked tree line crossing
Darlon's Creek and the Nackee
Nackee, and gaining the range on which the bald
Hill is, it then turns north again to the Bald Hill; on the south and
south-east is Mr. J B. Sharpe's; south and south-west Mr. Griffith's run, M.
G. Galvin's and West, north J. Hillas, and Dunn and
Sawyer; east Messrs Johnston. 110
Mason Robert. Name of run, Maracut. Estimated area,
three thousand two hundred acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, five
hundred cattle. Bounded on the north by Reid's Jengillick
run; and on the south by a point coming into the river, below a large lagoon
close to Millar's run; on the east by the Hume river; on the west by the
falls of the water from the Billybong ranges into
the river; distance of water frontage five miles, and from the river across
the ranges five miles. 111.
Mara T. and John Macnamara. Name of run, Head of
the Gilmore. Estimated area, sixteen thousand acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, seven hundred cattle. On the north by Mr
Davis's run; on the south dividing range; on the east by the Boojong mountains, or Mr. John Wilkinson's run; on the
west indefinite. 112
Mackenzie and Wild. Name of run. Woomargama.
Estimated area, sixteen thousand acres Estimated grazing capabilities, five
thousand sheep. Length about six miles, as measured in a straight hne, following the general course of the Seven-mile
creek; from the point where it is crossed by the old line of road from Sydney
to Port Phillip, upwards to a point about half a mile above the hut of the
upper station, the said creek runs nearly from east
to west; breadth, about two miles on each side of the Seven-mile creek, for
the above-named length; bounded on the south by a line running parallel with
the Seven Mile Creek, at a distance of two miles from that creek; bounded on
the west and north by the old line or the Port Phillip Road, and about a mile
of the present line of that road, separating Woomargama
from the run of Messrs. Purtill and Carmody; bounded on the east by a range of hills, at an
average distance of two miles from the Seven Mile Creek; this range at its
northern extremity follows the direction of the new line of road to Port
Phillip, at a distance of about half a mile on the east of the said road, and
terminates at a point about a mile from the junction of the old and new lines
of road to Port Phillip, on the north-east; this boundary separates Woomargama from the run of the Reverend J. J. Terry, or
Mr. S. Bowler, (now in dispute). 113.
M'Alister Thomas. Name of run, Wereborbolboldera.
Estimated area, twelve thousand eight hundred acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, five hundred cattle. Bounded on the north by Messrs. Whitty's run, Lofty Ranges; on the south by Mr. Vyner's run; on the east by the Tumut River; on the west
lofty ranges, indefinite. 114.
Macdonald George. Name of run, Adginbilly or Noginbilly. Estimated area, forty thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, one hundred and twenty-five cattle, nine thousand sheep. The Noginbilly
run is bounded to the south by the Noginbilly Creek,
commencing from a large waterhole at the extremity of the long flat on
Lawless Swamp and ending at the Soldier's Flat; thence to the west by a line
running up the middle of the Soldier's Flat to the summit of Paddy's rock
hill; and thence along the Black Range to the Oak Creek, dividing the run
from Mr. Cornelius O'Brien's, thence the Oak Creek upwards to a marked tree
not far from the junction of T. Howe's Red Hill Creek with the Oak Creek, and
from the said marked tree by a line running straight through a point one mile
and a quarter nest of Ephraim Howe's old stock yard on the Sydney Road and up
to the summit of the Murrumbidgee Ranges, all dividing the run from T.
Howe's; thence to the north by the summit of the Murrumbidgee Ranges, and
also to the east by a continuation of the summit of the same Murrumbidgee
Ranges till they join Smib's run; the Murrumbidgee
falls being occupied by O'Brien, Shehan, and
Sinclair; thence the Noginbilly run is divided from
Smile's run; the Murrumbidgee falls being occupied by O'Brien Sheahan, and Sinclair; thence the Noginbilly
run is divided from Smile's, so that none of the falls to the Oak Creek or to
the little creek belong to Smile; thence from Davis', so that all the falls
of the Little Creek on both sides above Captain Macdonald's present sheep
station on the Little Creek belong to Davis; and farther by a line running
down the long flat to the large water-hole at the extremity of the said long
flat on Lawless' swamp. 115.
Murphy Daniel. Name of run, Adginbilly. Estimated
area, two square miles. Estimated grazing capabilities, one hundred and
twenty cattle. North-east by Adginbilly Creek, and
bounded by T. Howe, Esquire; on the south-west by N. O'Brien, Esquire; on the
north-west by De Salis, Esquire, and Adginbilly Creek. 116.
MacLeay A. and G. Name of run, Borambola.
(Tarcuttah ) Estimated area, fifty thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, one thousand six hundred cattle, or ten
thousand sheep. Bounded on the north by the Murrumbidgee River, commencing at
a deep sandy creek at the upper end of Jones's Flat, and extending along the
river for eight miles in a straight line to the junction of Tarcuttah Creek with the Murrumbidgee; on the west by
three-fourths of a mile by the Tarcuttah Creek,
then along the foot of a range on the south side of the creek for half a mile
in a south-west direction, thence one and a quarter mile south- west up Major
Mitchells Gully; thence in a south south-east direction up a gully two and a
quarter miles to the top of the range dividing the Corajeenbob
waters and Major Mitchell's Gully along the top of the range in a south-west
direction two and a half miles to the Pullitup
road, along that road in a west-south-west direction for two and a half miles
to the Kyamba Creek, along that creek
south-south-east three and a half miles to the junction of Toole's and Kyamba Creeks; on
the south for three miles by Toole's Creek
east-north-east to the top of the range dividing the Kyamba
from the falls of the Corageenbob; thence for ten
miles in a direction east-north-east through a scrub to the top of the range
dividing Mates Gully from the falls towards Gabbett's
store; and thence for two and a half miles north-north-east to the top of the
range dividing Tarcuttah and Hillah's Creeks
crossing Tarcuttah Creek half a mile below Gabbett's store; on the cast by a line in a north
direction from the above mentioned termination of the southern boundary to
the Morumbidgee at the eastern extremity of the

MacLeay A. and G. Name of run, Pullitup.
Estimated area, forty-five thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities,
one thousand six hundred cattle, or ten thousand sheep. Adjoining Owen's station, bounded on the west by a line twenty-one
degrees north of east three and a half miles from a marked tree two and a
half miles north-west of the Turkey Flat hut to the top of Mount Burandana, a peak on the dividing range between Burke's
and O'Brien's Creeks; on the north by a line along the same dividing range in
a direction ten degrees south of east for five miles to Mount Peter, thence
along the range for four miles in a direction twenty-five degrees south of
east to the Pullitop road; thence for five and a
half miles along the same range in a direction thirty degrees south of east
to the junction of the ranges which divide the waters of the Billibong. Burke, and Kyamba
Creeks; on the east by a line from that range for five miles in a direction
ten degrees east of south along the range dividing the Billybong
from the Forest Creek, thence in a line thirty degrees south of west, for
four miles crossing the Forest Creek at a point two miles below the New
Forest hut to a round hill in the range which divides the Forest creek from
the Jerri Jerri creek;, on the south by a line from
the Round Hill, just mentioned, for fifteen and a half miles in a south-west
direction to the marked tree forming, the southern, extremity of the eastern

run, Toganmain (Jingorambah).
Estimated area, one hundred and ninety-two thousand acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, one thousand six hundred cattle or ten thousand sheep. On the
south bank of the Lower Morumbidgee, commencing at
the north-west corner of Shepherd's boundary, about forty eight miles in a
direct line below the junction of the Yanko-yanko
creek, running in a direct line twenty miles due-west along the bank of the
river (exclusive of sinuosities) to a point joining
William M'Leay'g north-east boundary, one hundred
yards east of the said William M'Leay's hut; from
thence in a line due south running fifteen miles to a point forming its
north-west corner; from thence due east to a point forming its south-east
corner; from thence along -Shepherd's -boundary line fifteen miles due north
to the bank of the river. 119.
M'Leay W. and J. junior, per William M'Leay. Name of run, Mulberrygong
(Moorooramble ?). Estimated area, ninety thousand acres. Estimated
grazing capabilities, seven thousand sheep. Bounded on north for ten miles by
the river Murrumbidgee; on the east by a line due south by compass for
fifteen miles from a point on the river one hundred yards east of the hat at Mulberrygong, and Adjoining the station of Messrs. A. and
G. M'Leay; on the west by a line north-west by
(indecipherable) seventeen mile from a point on the Murrumbidgee one hundred

Macquoid T. H. Name of run. Freshford.
Estimated area, five thousand acres, Estimated grazing capabilities, one
hundred and fifty cattle, or one thousand five hundred sheep. Bounded on the
east by the Murrumbidgee; on the west by a chain of ranges running nearly
parallel to the Murrumbidgee; on the north it extends to a corner of the
river known as Conlan's; and on the south the limit
is the junction of the Cottars River with the Murrumbidgee. Neigbbours' names- Mr. James Wright, Mr. William Davis,
and Mr. Andrew Cunningham. 121.
Miller Abraham. Name of run, Talmalmo. Estimated
area, seven thousand six hundred and eighty acres. Estimated grazing
capabilities, five hundred cattle, two thousand
sheep. Bounded on the south by the Hume River; on the north b the Murray
ranges; on the east by a small range running down to the Hume River, and
which divides my run from Robert Mason's, on the west by Mr. Jeffries' fence,
which divides my run from Mr. Jeffries. 122.
Moore Charles and John. Name of run, Coublondonga
(Adelong). Estimated area, twelve thousand acres; Estimated grazing
capabilities, one thousand cattle. Starting on the centre of the dividing
range joining Johnston's and Weston's to the north, and Sharp to the west;
bounded by a line along the top of the dividing range south-east by about four
miles to the head of Hindmarsh's creek; then by
that creek to its junction with the Addilong creek
about two miles; then across Addilong creek by a
line east about one mile and a half to the top of Windaligo
range; then along that range about north-north-west five miles; then down a
spur of that range to Addilong creek, by a line
about west by north one mile, at Johnston's and Weston's south-east boundary. 123.
M'Laurin and Sons. Name of run, Connallo.
Estimated area, thirty-two thousand acres. Estimated grating capabilities,
one thousand Cattle. Bounded on the south by the Murray river; on the west by
the Edward River; on the north by the run of Messrs. B. Boyd and Co; on the
east by the run of Messrs. Redfern and Alexander;
on the south estimated at five miles; on the west estimated at ten miles; on
the north estimated at five miles; on the east estimated at ten miles. 124.
M'Dougall Archibald. Name of run, Goboulong. Estimated area, six square miles. Estimated
grazing capabilities, five hundred cattle. Water frontage Murrumbidgee River,
joining Mr. Howe on one side, and Mr. O Brien at the back run, and Mr. Luff on the other side. 125.
Mangan Thomas Joseph. Name ot
run, Little River (Coursdigby ?). Estimated area, three thou-
sand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, four hundred cattle, three thousand sheep. A mass of limestone and rocky
mountains, a forest three or four miles circumference, a small flat
containing the homestead, with about ten acres of land for cultivation;
bounded on the north by Mrs. Terry's run, on the south by broken mountains,
on the east by the Narringullen Hills, on the west
by Mr. Lewis's run. 126.
Manton Charles. Name of run. Giaour, formerly Niermer. Estimated area, sixty-four thousand acres.
Estimated grazing capabilities, ten thousand sheep. This run is situated on
the Warcoal River, Lower Murray, Murrumbidgee
district, and comprises the country between the Warcoal
or Logan River, and the Minnon or Wild Cattle
Creek, within the under, mentioned boundaries, as certified in the accompanying
copy of a memorandum by Henry Bingham, Esq., J. P., Commissioner of Crown Lands for the
Murrumbidgee district, and as more particularly shown in the accompanying
plan of the run and adjacent country. It Is bounded on the west by a ploughed
line running south from an old hut on the Warcoal
River opposite Mr. Hawdon's late intrusion or bead
station to the Wild Cattle Creek or Mirron; on the
south by the Mirron or Wild Cattle Creek; and on
the east by a dray road from the Mirron Creek to
the Warcoal, and which road joins the Warcoal at the head station hut erected last year by Mr.
Forster. 127.
Nixon Robert. Name of run, Gregado or Tywong. Estimated area, twenty thousand acres. Estimated
grazing capabilities, seven hundred cattle. Bounded on the east by Kyambeth Creek two miles; on the south-east by O'Brien
Creek two miles; on the south by a line from O'Brien Creek westerly five
miles to a dividing range running about north and south; and westerly by that
range five miles to the northern boundary; and on the north from thence to
the Kyamba Creek; bounded on the south by Mr.
Peters'; on the north by Mr. Peters'; on the east, Mr. Guise; on the west,
Mr. Peters'. 128.
Nicholson Charles. Name of ran, Benongal. Estimated
area, forty-four thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, seven
thousand sheep. Situated on the south bank of the Murrumbidgee River, near
its junction with the Murray; bounded on the east by a line commencing at a
mark tree on the Murrumbidgee, and running due south; on the north by the
Murrumbidgee River for fourteen miles; on the south-west by the Murray River
for ten miles; and on the south by a line from thence to a point on the
eastern boundary line, distant six miles from the Murrumbidgee River; the
east boundary line forming the lower boundary of Mr. W. Wentworth's station. (To
