Lost
Chinese, Search Parties Out The Sydney Morning Herald 21 June 1932 |
Tumut, Monday. A Chinese named Ah Marn, aged 70, has been
lost in thick bush at Stoney Creek, adjoining the Yarrangobilly road, three miles from Tumut, since 5
o'clock last Tuesday afternoon, when he went out to gather brambles for fuel. Search parties have been assisting the local police each day since Ah Marn disappeared. Yesterday more than 100 people were searching the bush. Local Chinese
are offering £ 10 reward for the discovery of their countryman. As the weather last week was bitterly cold and wet, little hope Is
entertained of finding Ah Marn alive. |
