On behalf of the citizens, Dr. T. B. Clouston
has publicly presented to Ald. James Elphick, Mayor
of Tumut, an album of views, of the town and district, leather bound, and handsomely
mounted, as a mark of esteem and admiration for long and faithful service to
the town, district, and municipality. Mr. Elphick has taken an active part in
public affairs of Tumut for the past 20 years, has nine times been elected
Mayor, and was the first Mayor under the Local Government Act. |
