Rain at Gundagai Empire, Sydney 17 May 1852 |
Goulburn. The weather - to-day (wednesday) is very
cloudy, and there is every appearance of an immediate full of rain. As all the creeks and waterholes are full, should the fall be great,
there will be such a flood as to cut off all communication for a time with
the neighbouring districts. I hear there has been a great deal of rain about Gundagai, which
accounts for the irregular arrival of the overland mail from Melbourne. |
