September 1912 Freeman's Journal (Sydney) |
The death occurred recently of Mr. Edward
Brennan, J.P., at his residence, ''Eurobin," Gocup, near Adelong. Deceased was always looked upon, up to
the time he was overcome by an affliction seven years ago, as one of the
shrewdest and most practical men in the community, and his presence was
always courted in connection with any public undertakings. His family consists of one son and
four daughters, viz., Mr. James Brennan; Misses Susannah Agnes,
Mary, Eileen, Kathleen, and Philomena Brennan, all of whom have
grown to years of discretion. Two members of the family, Misses
Susannah and Eileen, entered the Goulburn Convent some time ago, having
joined the community there. The funeral, which was over half a
mile in length, took place in the local cemetery, where the Very Rev. Father
Butler performed the last sad rites |
