Railway Completed The Sydney

Thursday - The Tumut railway was completed to-day [4 June 1903]
to the terminus. Loops and buildings have yet to be erected. The opening will
take place in September the Governor and Lady and Miss Rawson will be
present. Mr Quodling, engineer in charge, has received
instructions to plan out a line from the present terminus to a position at Lacmalaric in connection with the federal capital site.
The Tumut River will have to be crossed twice in the extension. |
