Yass, Country under Water The Sydney Morning Herald 1 July 1852 |
Yass: - The flood here surpasses any that has been experienced since
the district was settled. The whole country is under water. Houses, mills, stockyards,
have been literally swept away. You will by the next mail have a fearful list
of losses. The weather appears to be clearing, and the waters are beginning
to subside. |
